Dragon’s Dogma 2 is getting a limited-time collaboration with the hit anime Delicious in Dungeon, including new outfits, Pawns, and patch notes.
Have you ever seen—or read—the wonderful Dungeon Meshi (known in English as Delicious in Dungeon)? It’s a phenomenal manga series, written and illustrated by Ryoko Kui, which was adapted into an anime series by Trigger in 2024. In short, it follows a group of adventurers in a fantasy world who lose a battle against a dragon—which devours one of the group members. What follows is a quest to find a way to bring the fallen party member (who happens to be the sister of one of the main characters) back to life, during which the group of adventurers learns to cook and eat monsters in dungeons while uncovering the strange truth behind the world they live in.
New Outfits and Pawns
In case it hasn’t become clear yet: I think the series is fantastic, and waiting for the next season—which is set to premiere in October 2027—is killing me. It combines two of my greatest passions, cooking and fantasy, in a multifaceted world that’s rich in detail and a story that’s brilliantly told. So imagine my surprise when I saw that Capcom had announced a collaboration between E Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Delicious in Dungeon … and that it’s literally live right now on PS5, Xbox, and PC, arriving with a new update for the game.
“With the introduction of official Pawns and special collaboration outfits inspired by the Delicious in Dungeon characters Laios and Marcille, new allies and gear are coming to the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen,” according to a press release from the publisher. “Delicious in Dungeon is a successful manga series by Ryoko Kui that follows the adventurer Laios and his group as they venture deep into a dungeon and cook and eat the monsters they encounter along the way. These iconic characters will meet the classic fantasy world of *Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen* in a limited-time collaboration launching today for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.”
Delayed Launch on the Switch 2
For those playing the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, this update will be available on Wednesday, November 11.
Official Pawns modeled after the heavily armored Laios and the elven mage Marcille can be recruited via the Riftstones, but there’s a catch: These Pawns will only be available on all platforms until Thursday, January 28, 2027. So we still have a few months to play with them, but these helpful characters won’t be available permanently.
Additionally, players who load their Dragon’s Dogma 2 save files during the collaboration period will receive special crossover outfits modeled after Laios’s and Marcille’s attire. These collaboration outfits will be automatically added to the game’s inventory and can be worn by both the Arisen and the Pawns. Once claimed, these outfits will remain available even after the collaboration event ends.
