The next update for Crimson Desert is here, and it’s targeting the game’s economy. There are many improvements to commodity trading and the banks.

It’s update time again in Crimson Desert: Patch 1.16 has been released for all platforms and focuses primarily on one area: the economy and trade in the open-world game. There are severalsignificant improvements to the banking system and commodity trading; we’ve summarized the most important changes for you, and of course, we’ve also included the full patch notes from the developers on page 2.

What’s in Patch 1.16?

In addition to dozens of bug fixes and minor improvements, the update primarily introduces a host of new features for trading goods with the wagon.

If you’re not familiar with it yet: After completing certain quests, we receive a wagon at our camp that can be used to deliver the trade goods we find all over the world. We then have to drive them ourselves to a trading post, where we’re paid for the goods—not in regular money, though, but in our camp’s currency. This has been a very tedious and, until now, hardly worthwhile way to gather resources for the camp. But the patch really steps things up here:

  • There are 133 new trading posts, though most of them only appear after completing a quest or defeating nearby enemies.
  • There are 28 new trade goods.
  • We generally earn more money from trading, and higher profits can be made at hard-to-reach trading posts.
  • Trading goods can now be sold individually instead of only in stacks.
  • There are seven new wagon workshops where goods can be packed and loaded.
  • When driving the wagon, passable paths are displayed on the minimap.
  • The map now features a Trade tab where you can filter trading posts by the goods sold there.

Those are the most important improvements for the wagons, but the banks in Crimson Desert are also getting a new feature. You can now use bonds for investments, exchange them for gold bars, or use them to buy rare items at a bond shop.

That wraps up the most important changes in this update. If you’ve been experiencing a specific issue, take a look at the developers’ patch notes on page 2—maybe there’s a fix for it now. However, one change that’s important to many fans didn’t make it into the latest update: If you consume a stack of food via Quick Access, the weakest dish will still automatically be placed in the slot next.
