With the launch of Version 1.0, the strategy game will feature a brand-new desert faction. Anyone who wants to get a sneak peek can try out a demo starting now.
The turn-based strategy gameEndless Legend 2will soon exit Early Access and launch simultaneously on consoles.
Version 1.0 will be released for PC on September 17, 2026, with a simultaneous launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S—a physical version will also be available for the Sony console.
The Sandshapers as the New Main Faction
With the 1.0 release, the mysterious Sandshapers enter the scene as the sixth major faction. They are the oldest civilization on Saiadha and still remember a time before the water engulfed the entire planet. Their mission is to transform the world back into the arid desert biome it once was.
The Sandshapers have their own quest line and, of course, bring with them new units, heroes, technologies, and traits.
Rogue Factions and Community Mini-Factions
Rogue Factions will also be joining the fray—these are new variations of already familiar factions. While these splinter groups share much with their predecessors, they play completely differently. They feature their own quests, stories, and gameplay mechanics. Kicking things off are the two groups “Order of Zelevas”—a conquest-focused variant of the Kin of Sheredyn—and “The Severed Claw,” a splinter group of the Necrophage.
Mangrove of Harmony is a new, starfish-like mini-faction created by the development team in collaboration with the Amplitude community. It features its own hero, an exclusive quest line, new villages, recruitable units, and a new population type.
If you’d like to try the game for yourself, you can check out a new and greatly improved demo on Steam and consoles. This allows you to test out the Kin of Sheredyn and The Last Lords as playable factions.
