Season 6 is coming and heralds the farewell of Verdansk. We gather all the info on launch time, content and the changes for Cold War.

Soon it’s time to say goodbye: Season 6 will probably be the last in which Call of Duty: Cold War sets the tone at Warzone – and also the last in which we hang out in familiar Verdansk. Because with CoD Vanguard, a new era is slowly but surely approaching!

Of course, we are once again collecting all the information about the release, new weapons, maps, modes and everything else that is exciting for CoD players about a new season. This article will be updated as soon as new details become known.

All info on Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone

Start: When does Season 6 begin?

On October 7, 2021 Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone will kick off.

It is possible that the release of Vanguard will change something about the usual season duration of about eight weeks. The next Call of Duty will be released on 5 November and is to be merged with Warzone again. This would coincide almost seamlessly with the usual mid-season update, so perhaps Vanguard content will launch as early as Season 6 Reloaded?

According to rumours, the first joint season of Battle Royale and WW2-CoD will then start in the days around 23 November 2021 – but there is no official confirmation yet.

Map: What are the changes?

Season 6 will probably be the last one in which we play in Verdansk. The new Pacific map, which is composed of Vanguard maps, will be released in 2021. In the meantime, we also know what changes the developers have come up with for the Verdansk map. Among other things, you can look forward to the following changes:

  • Downtown and Stadium were destroyed by an earthquake, which has a strong impact on their layout.
  • Under the surface of Verdansk, World War II bunkers can now be found that are directly related to the disappearance of Adler. Of course, the first teasers for CoD: Vanguard can already be found in them.
  • The original Gulag from Modern Warfare returns – but with a few detail changes. In it, you can fight for a second chance in 1-vs-1 matches as usual.

If you already want to prepare for Warzone’s all-new Pacific map that will replace Verdansk, you can take a look at our review of it:

Halloween Event: The Haunting

Zu Halloween startet das neue Event

2020, the Zombie Royale was a huge success and is still considered by many Warzone fans to be the best event yet. Since Halloween falls in Season 6, it is only natural that the developers come up with a suitable action again. It is not yet known whether you will become a powerful undead yourself.

Leaks are already talking about an event called All Hallows Eve, in which you can unlock two horror operators: Ghostface from Scream and Frank, the creepy bunny from Donnie Darko. In 2020, Jigsaw and Leatherface had appeared in Warzone. In the meantime, however, it has been officially announced that the event will be called The Haunting.

There is no more concrete information at the moment, on 18 October 2021 there should be more details.

Prestige: New Ranks Available in Season 6

At the start of Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone, your Season Level will be reset to 1 as usual. This will now allow you to earn four additional Prestige levels, and the following rewards will be available when you reach the appropriate level:

  • Level 50: New Prestige Rank, Prestige Key, Weapon Blueprint and Battle Pass Tier Skip
  • Level 100: New Prestige Rank, Prestige Key and Battle Pass Tier Skip
  • Level 150: New Prestige Rank, Prestige Key and Battle Pass Tier Skip
  • Level 190: All Season Challenges become available
  • Level 200: New Prestige Rank, Prestige Key, Battle Pass Tier Skip, Master Prestige Calling Card
  • Level 250 to 1,000: New Prestige Key every 50 levels

Wie gewohnt könnt ihr in Season 6 von Call of Duty: Warzone eine ganze Leiter voller Ränge nach oben klettern.

Battle Pass: What you need to know

Season 6 will again offer a free and a premium Battle Pass. By collecting experience points (i.e. playing matches), you will rise in rank and thus unlock rewards. Weapons are in the free version, most cosmetic content is only available for paying players.

The pass costs 1,000 CoD points (about 10 euros) or 2,400 points (about 20 euros) if you want to unlock the first 20 ranks directly.
