Moon Studios is replacing the old attributes with 362 traits. In addition, six factions on Isola Sacra and various bosses await players at the game’s release on PC and PS5 in March 2027.

This evening, Moon Studios released a new episode of their “Wicked Inside” video series for No Rest for the Wicked, in which they discuss, among other things, the new combat system.

This is designed to massively expand your options in combat and character building as you journey through Isola Sacra. The old attribute system, which previously forced you into specific playstyles, is now a thing of the past. As soon as you pick up a weapon, your character automatically switches to one of 24 classes. With 362 traits distributed across these classes, countless combinations are available to you—and your choice of weapon expands your options even further.

New Factions and Cerim Cores: Fresh Quests and Risky Bonuses

In addition, the video offers fresh insights into new factions you can join to experience Isola Sacra from different perspectives. There are six such factions in total, including the Severed Hand assassins, the chivalrous Sacrament Guard, and the Unspoken. Each group offers its own questline with new traits, exclusive merchants, and other surprises.

Meanwhile, the Cerim Cores determine how much damage your character can take. The spectrum ranges from direct bonuses to health, stamina, and focus to exotic modifiers—such as “Feral” for a faster attack speed or “Crimson” for life steal. At the same time, you should exercise caution: If you overstimulate the cores’ capacity, you’ll take noticeably more damage with every hit from an enemy.

Scope Nearly Doubled: Version 1.0 Leaves Early Access in March 2027

The upcoming Version 1.0 is set to nearly double the scope of No Rest for the Wicked. You’ll also get new areas to explore, fresh bosses, a revamped loot system, and quality-of-life improvements.

The action RPG is still in Early Access on Steam. The release of Version 1.0 for PC and PlayStation 5 is scheduled for March 2027.
