Tagah has been unveiled as a new character for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The mysterious airbender comes straight from the Aang movie.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game was released on July 23, 2026, and just two days later, the long-awaited Avatar: The Last Airbender movie was finally released—though, unfortunately, only on Paramount’s in-house streaming service. But the movie’s influence is already unmistakable, as the first character trailer for a character from the film has now been released. If you don’t want to know anything about the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, you should stop reading here.

The (Almost) Last Airbender

PM Studios didn’t waste any time and added the first character from the highly anticipated movie to the game shortly after its release; Tagah will join the official roster later this year. And at no extra cost. Tagah will thus become the thirteenth playable character, not counting the DLCs. And I still think it’s crazy that Uncle Iroh was hidden behind the DLC paywall.

But back to Tagah, since this mysterious character probably isn’t familiar to everyone. He’s an airbender and, much like Aang, appears to have been frozen inside an iceberg. But his tattoos look even older than Aang’s, so he seems to hail from an even earlier era. However, he likely doesn’t have only good intentions.

Storyboard trailer leaves room for speculation

This means we’ll be getting the second airbender in the game who isn’t a pacifist like Aang, and we’ll see some new techniques that will undoubtedly be inspired by the movie. We don’t see much of it, though, since the trailer only shows Tagah in the form of colored storyboard drawings.

It’s not clear exactly what moves and abilities he’ll bring to the game, but the movie will surely provide some clues, and there’s already plenty of speculation in the comments. Of course, people are also wondering whether Tagah will bring skins for the adult versions of Team Avatar.

Since I haven’t been able to see the movie myself yet, I’m very glad that the trailer doesn’t contain any spoilers, and I can only hope that PM Studios will soon get theirteething problemsunder control.
