Ziggurat Interactive is adding new multiplayer features to these post-apocalyptic cult classics. Fans can also now purchase physical collector’s editions.

Do you remember the strategy games Krush Kill ‘N Destroy and Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 2: Krossfire from the ’90s? Ziggurat Interactive aims to revive these classics with a new online PvP mode and a big-box release.

Free Update and Open Beta Plans

Both titles will feature modern online features, as well as expanded modding options, new languages, windowed mode, additional resolutions, and bug fixes.

You’ll get all of this with a free update, which is now available in the open beta on Steam and is scheduled to be released later this summer—a release on GOG is also planned for then.

Details on the contents of the physical collector’s editions

And then there are the boxes mentioned earlier. ThroughReboxya Classic Edition and a Display Edition of the games are available.

The Classic Edition of each title comes in a big-box package (laminated and with a foam inlay). It contains a pressed CD-ROM, two redemption keys (for either Steam or GOG), a reprint of the original manual, a full-color A3 poster, and an insert for a CD jewel case.

Meanwhile, the Display Edition is a slightly more streamlined version: It reduces the package to the Big Box, the game codes, and the A3 poster, but is correspondingly more affordable.

Both the Classic and Display Editions offer different designs for Europe and the U.S. In total, you can choose from eight different versions of the two titles. Aside from the box’s appearance, the contents remain the same.
