A new trailer for Helldivers 2 introduces the upcoming “Permanent Enclosure” campaign, which sends Helldivers back to the Terminid front lines.

Helldivers 2 is getting its next Galactic War Campaign, titled “Permanent Enclosure,” and this time, it takes players deep into Terminid territory. So after taking on the robots, it’s now time to go after the bugs—and a snazzy new suit of armor awaits as a reward. The trailer sets the tone for this push for democracy with its usual over-the-top and sarcastic style.

Propaganda Trailer and the Return to the Terminid Front

Whether I’m currently playing the game or not, the Helldivers 2 trailers just keep making me want to play it. I just love how completely over-the-top they are and the way they champion democracy and freedom, while at the same time showing Helldivers on screen blowing up or shooting to pieces everything that moves. In the end, it’s simply propaganda for Over-Earth, and the sheer intensity with which developer Arrowhead pulls it off really hooks me.

Following the last major war campaign against the robots and their superweapon, we’re now going to war against the insects. The goal is to capture a large portion of Terminid territory and bring more peace to the region through democracy, freedom, and bombs. “Once this victory is secured, the High Command will refocus its attention on the Terminid front,” the new campaign explains. “Helldivers are being deployed to reinforce quarantine measures, contain the spread of the insect plague, and make the galaxy safer for all freedom-loving citizens.”

New armor as a reward and the call for the Illuminati

Of course, a special reward awaits once again, this time in the form of the KDM-500 Outrider armor. “Successful participants in this major mission will be rewarded with the KDM-Outrider armor set, forged for those who bravely plunge into danger in the service of freedom,” the description states.

While some Helldivers in the comments are eager to dive right into the next battle, many others point to the threat posed by the Illuminati. The wish is clear: hopefully, the next Galactic War Campaign will address this alien threat.
