HyperMotion, EA’s powerful gameplay technology, has been thoroughly revised and optimised for the FIFA successor EA FC 24. In this article we will explain everything you need to know about it.

HyperMotion is the technology that has been controlling the ball physics, animations and much more in FIFA games for several years. For EA FC 24, the system has been thoroughly reworked and is now said to offer an even more authentic gameplay experience.

EA FC 24 – These are the changes to HyperMotion V

HyperMotion V – Physics and gameplay

Thanks to a lot of data from real games, the gameplay should become much more realistic with real-time animation. The ball physics and goalkeeper behaviour have also been reworked to make the game experience even more authentic.

While “AcceleRATE” was already introduced in FIFA 23 with the types Lenghty, Controlled and Explosive, EA has refined the system for FC 24.

In the FIFA successor there will be seven different types to give each player a certain uniqueness.

The different AcceleRATE types are:

  • Lengthy
  • Mostly Lengthy
  • Controlled Lengthy
  • Controlled
  • Controlled Explosive
  • Mostly Explosive
  • Explosive

HyperMotion V – Playing Styles

HyperMotion V also introduces 34 new Play Styles in FC 24. These are divided into 5 categories: Finishing, Passing, Defending, Ball Control, Physicality and Goalkeeping.

HyperMotion V – Dribbling, passing and tackling

In addition to the new Play Styles, EA has also included some new gameplay features to help improve ball control.

For the first time, you can see exactly where your pass will land with the help of an on-screen indicator.

controlled sprint dribbling is a dribbling technique where you slow down your sprint speed slightly to have more control over the ball.

Effort Dribble Touch is a new mechanic that allows you to control your player before he makes contact with the ball. For example, you can decide whether he should stretch to reach the ball or move away from the ball to avoid a tackle.

The Possession Tackle allows you to send a player into a tackle with the aim of winning the ball back. This allows you to keep the ball close to the player after a successful one-on-one and prevents you from losing the ball right back again.
