Crystal Dynamics has released the next mini-documentary on the remake of the action classic. This time, Lara Croft explores the dark tombs of the pharaohs.
The next installment in the mini-documentary series for the upcoming Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is here and focuses on another section of the game.
After recently getting a glimpse at the reimagined Greece and its creatures, the latest behind-the-scenes video takes you to Egypt.
Return to Egypt: Classic Tombs and That Authentic Tomb Raider Feeling
“Egypt will be recognizable,” promises Jeff Adams, Experience Director at Crystal Dynamics. “There will be many locations that fans will recognize from the first game.”
“We’ve made some creative decisions to ensure that we stay true to the original while also advancing the story we’re telling. We’re excited for players to experience what it’s like to explore Egypt with a flashlight.”
“Egypt was one of the most iconic locations in the first Tomb Raider for good reason,” the statement continues. “It embodies the most impressive aspects of the Lara Croft power fantasy and allows her to venture into real tombs where both fictional and real Egyptian gods were worshipped.”

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a complete remake of the first game in the series and is set to be released on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2.
