Full pound on the hybrid console! The Gothic Romake will not only appear for the PC but also for the Nintendo Switch. At least a picture on Twitter provides a pretty clear hint.

Almost 22 years ago, RPG history was made with the release of the first part of the Gothic series. Especially the second part played its way into the hearts of many fans and is still considered a great cult title of the German video game industry. Since 2019, developer Piranha Bytes belongs to THQ Nordic and a remake with the support of Alkimia Interactive is currently in the works.

At the end of the year, the official Twitter account thanked the fans, without whom Gothic would not have become what it is today. Along with this, they wished the community a happy year and hope that the coming years will be full of surprises. Along with this message, they posted a picture of a Gothic character wearing a Nintendo Switch. A gameplay scene from the game can be seen on the hybrid console”s screen. The announcement of the new platform couldn”t be any clearer.

In any case, one thing is certain: Gothic Remake, unlike its predecessors, will not be released exclusively for the PC. Unfortunately, it seems rather unlikely that the remake will be released this year. After all, in the Twitter post mentioned above, they talk about “surprises in the next few years”. If there is any news, we will let you know.
