In four days the thrilling martial arts title Sifu will be released. As part of this countdown, developer Sloclap has released a short film together with YouTuber RivenX3i based on the storyline. Sifu: At the Cost of Time shows the protagonist fighting one of the five bosses.

How long does it take to master Kongfu? This is what Scloclap’s soon to be released game deals with. He used to train together with his father, but for the past eight years the protagonist has had to go through his Kongfu exercises alone. Ever since a group of criminals took his father from him, he has been seeking revenge. In the last few years he has retraced the tracks of the murderers, now he is ready to face them. But he knows that every mistake must be paid for dearly.

Like the game itself, the short film Sifu: At the Cost of Time also knows how to convince with impressive minimalism and badass moves. Alvin Hsing slips into the role of the revenge-seeking son who is endowed with a special gift. If he dies on his quest for revenge, he returns with new abilities but several years older. Fighting against time, he stands in the way of his opponents with the sole aim of avenging his father.

You can find out for yourself whether he will succeed. Sifu will be released for PC and PlayStation on 8 February. If you pre-order now, you can immerse yourself in the world of Kongfu two days before the official release.
