According to a leak, the end-time shooter will still be released in 2023 despite missing status updates. We have all the info for you.

Originally Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl should already be in stores at this point. Then the war in Ukraine broke out and threw the plans and the life of the team of GSC Game World over the heap. Since then, there was mostly radio silence around the first-person shooter.

Now there is a new sign of life. A leak reveals a potential release date. Hey, don’t close the tab just because the unloved word Leak drops. Believe us, the source is not a dubious insider from social media, but quite interesting when it comes to assessing the leak.

Release still in December 2023?

GSC Game World has been rock solid on a 2023 release so far anyway. Industry insiders and fans have recently doubted more and more in view of the long radio silence and the calendar. Now there is new movement in the matter.

A release date has now appeared at Plaion of all places. If this name doesn’t ring a bell, Plaion is a subsidiary of the Embracer Group, which is also behind THQ Nordic, and acts as the publisher for the shooter. So who better to know the release date?

(In the official shop) of Plaion has been written for a short time December 1, 2023 That’s a Friday, so it’s a perfectly plausible day for a game release. Besides, the Plaion store is no stranger to leaked release dates. Among other things, the launch of the Switch port of Darksiders 2 has already been revealed there.

However, this is not an official confirmation. As much as you might be looking forward to the new excursion into the zone, you will unfortunately have to wait a little longer. Maybe we’ll find out more at the upcoming gamescom.

Are you looking forward to Stalker 2? Have you already made your travel plans so that you won’t forget anything when you roam through the terrible and beautiful zone around the nuclear power plant? Or does the shooter leave you colder than cold and you don’t really care when the game will be released? Feel free to write us your opinion in the comments!
