Release: When is Baldur’s Gate 3 coming to PlayStation 5?
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released about a month later for PS5 than for PC. The PS5 release is on 6 September 2023 so you won’t have to wait long.
Those who really get into the game and pre-order the Deluxe Edition for 80 euros can even get started three days earlier: Early Access for PS5 starts on 3 September.
What’s in the PS5 version of Baldur’s Gate 3?
The content of the PS5 version is identical to the PC version – and in this case, that has tangible advantages. Despite the huge success of Baldur’s Gate 3, the PC version was still plagued by a number of bugs and problems at launch, which we also have to take into account in our GlobalESportNews review of Baldur’s Gate 3. Many of them will be fixed in the PS5 version for the release in September, as Larian is already diligently patching on PC.
And all of these improvements will end up directly in the PS5 version, as Larian’s Publishing Director Michael Douse recently announced:

Is there a preload for the PS5 release?
At the moment we don’t have any information when and how the preload of Baldur’s Gate 3 for PS5 will be possible. But you should definitely allow a little bit of download time: On the PC, the game requires an impressive 120 GB of hard drive space; German lines in particular will suck on that for a while.
