Roadmap for The Witcher 4: Release in 2028

CD Projekt Red Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski addressed the issue ona video messagedirectly to fans and outlined a timeframe for the release of The Witcher 4. For the team, it is clear that quality and preparation time come first.

The key takeaway from the message is: CD Projekt Red is aiming for arelease window in 2028for The Witcher 4.

Management refers to a target timeframe and avoids specifying a concrete date or even mentioning a release month or quarter.

The reason for this:According to the studio itself, it has learned from the multiple delays of The Witcher 3 and the launch issues with Cyberpunk 2077. Setting a release date too early puts development teams under enormous pressure and often leads to unfinished products. The motto is: The development team should be given the necessary time to ensure the final product meets the extremely high expectations.

More than 500 developers
