With the story DLC “Inevitable Excess” the already huge Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will be continued soon. We have the first pictures for you.

Roleplay fans take note: If you still can’t get enough of the adventures in Golarion after playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous for what feels like 500 hours, you can now rejoice. Because with the first story DLC Inevitable Excess, the plot will be continued, and quite soon. There is also a first batch of pictures.

You can find out how fantastic Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is in our freshly updated review. Thanks to the constant improvements, the game is now pushing itself up into our highest rating regions:

Will the heroes become time travellers?

Unfortunately, very little is known about the story of Inevitable Excess. The developers only reveal the following in their official press release so far:

“The Inevitable Excess DLC will take players on new adventures as they await the moment of their greatest triumph: victory over the Worldwound. Players will leave Golarion and use unprecedented mythic powers to defend the space-time continuum against the threat of collapse.”

What does this statement tell us? Well, given the mention of the fabled space-time continuum, we are led to speculate that our heroes may have to travel through time to ward off a threat or undo its damage. Whether we are right with this assumption, however, remains to be seen.

At least there is already some fodder for the spoiled role-player’s eyes. Four first images from the DLC already whet the appetite for more – and also underline the thematic focus on time. After all, in many places in the scenery you can see either bells, gears or clocks that are connected to it.

By the way, the release is not far away! If your fingers are itching, don’t panic: Inevitable Excess is already available from 15 February 2022 – either as part of the Season Pass or as a separate individual purchase.

Apropos purchase: If you don’t own Pathfinder 2 yet, but you’ve developed an immense appetite for it, now would be an appropriate time to strike. Thanks to the current Lunar and New Year Sales at (Steam), the (Epic Store) and of course at (GOG), you can currently buy the game at a 20 percent discount.
