More Warhammer! The world of video games is already full of conversions around the massive universe of Games Workshop, but there is always more to come. On 25 June, the publisher held its own announcement event called Skull for the seventh time, where numerous news were shared with the community. Whether Warhammer Fantasy, 40K or Age of Sigmar.

The most important trailers from the event

Realms of Ruin has been revealed

Probably the biggest announcement at the event was the reveal of a new real-time strategy game set in the fantasy world of Age of Sigmar. The trailer gave a first taste of the setting, but there was no real gameplay to see yet. However, we have already been able to watch two games and have written a comprehensive preview of them.

Speed Freeks was announced

Warhammer really seems to be combinable with any genre. It”s not for nothing that there are now more game spin-offs out there than Skaven under Altdorf. With Speed Freeks, a new game was announced at the Warhammer event Skulls, in which you get behind the wheel of an orc car and take on other greenskins in fast-paced races. The racer will be free and is already playable (as Alpha on Steam).

New gameplay for Space Marine 2

With Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive is releasing a new action game before the end of 2023, in which you go out as an elite soldier and use your blaster rifle and chainsaw sword to really bring down rows and rows of enemies. Said enemies are primarily the Tyranid hordes, a predatory alien species that swarm planets. The new gameplay trailer shows very vividly what happens when a highly trained super soldier encounters such a mass of enemies.

Warhammer 3 gets a new legendary hero

Total War: Warhammer 3 is getting another legendary hero, the Chaos Warrior Harald Hammerstorm. Harald will be available for all Chaos Warrior factions with patch 3.1 on 25 May 2023 and will be recruited in-game via quest once your commander reaches level 15. However, you first have to create an account with Creative Assembly for the hero. This will cost you some time, but no money.

Now the team is releasing a classic role-playing game in the Warhammer universe. Rogue Trader puts you in the boots of an agent of the Empire as he criss-crosses the galaxy. A new companion is introduced in the trailer and the release of the beta version is announced. On 1 June, pre-orderers can already take a look.

Vermintide 2 gets free missions

Since 2018, you”ve been able to join friends in Vermintide 2 as an exterminator, shredding your way through armies of rat-men. At the Warhammer Skull event, the team announced a free update in a trailer that introduces a new area to the game. Khazid Kro some already know as DLC from the predecessor, now the dwarven realm has been relaunched for Vermintide 2 for free and brings a total of 3 new levels into the game.
