Is my PC sufficient to play Lost Ark? The minimum and recommended hardware requirements paint a pleasingly sanguine picture.

The system requirements for Lost Ark are a balm on the wounds of battered PC gamers in times of scarce graphics cards and overpriced Ebay prices: The new online role-playing game with a Diablo twist doesn’t need super-strong hardware for you to be able to play it smoothly on your computer. Not even in 4K resolution!

Lost Ark is currently making giant strides towards its EU release on 11 February 2022, so now is the time to compare the system requirements with your PC hardware and ask yourself: “Is my PC sufficient for Lost Ark?

Lost Ark: These are the system requirements

Minimum requirements for Lost Ark

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / AMD HD6850
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection (always online)
  • Storage space: 50 GB available storage space

Even though Lost Ark flaunts great graphics compared to other action role-playing games like Diablo 4, the recommended system requirements are comparatively moderate. This probably already takes into account the higher performance hunger due to the Direct X 11 upgrade planned after the release:

Recommended Hardware

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Depending on the hardware used, see below
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection (always online)
  • Storage space: 50 GB available storage space

The recommended system requirements for Lost Ark are as follows, depending on the resolution:

1080p Full HD

  • Geforce GTX 660
  • Geforce GTX 1050
  • Radeon RX 560 2G

1440p QHD

  • Geforce RTX 2070
  • Radeon RX 5700 XT

4K UHD with Ultra settings

  • Geforce RTX 2080
  • Radeon RX 6800

Lost Ark: Low system requirements, but Pay2Win accusations

So if you want to play Lost Ark in Ultra HD, all you need is a three and a half and two year old graphics card respectively. So upgrading shouldn’t be necessary for most PC gamers. No wonder: Lost Ark was already released in Asia in November 2018; Amazon Game Studios is now bringing the title to the US and Europe.

If you don’t know anything about the online role-playing game with action-packed battles and Diablo perspective, take a look at our big info article:

In our Lost Ark release test, we will not only answer the question about the game’s fun, but also clarify whether the Pay2Win accusations against the in-game shop are also justified in the EU version. Among other things, Amazon already sells Founders Packs for Lost Ark, which bring useful bonuses for your character.
