Epic Games has a new update for Fortnite. Patch 20.40 brings several new cosmetic content and events into the game.

Patch 20.40 started in Fortnite on Tuesday and brings some new features for the Battle Royale. The lightsabers disappear from the game again, but instead a new tower appears, which is to play a central role for the live event.

Chapter 3 Season 2 is to be concluded with the brand new live event. The so-called “Collider”, which appeared in Fortnite with patch 20.40, plays a central role in this. This is a tower in the middle of the map and was announced in advance by Doctor Slone and the Imagined Order. The generator is said to have the power to cause a catastrophe on the Battle Royale map. Around the tower, all the water has already been extracted from the rivers.

In addition, YouTuber Ali-A will receive his own skin and cosmetic items in Battle Royale. Players can obtain these both in Fortnite through the shop or at the Ali-A Cup on Wednesday. There, it is possible to get his skin as well as the back accessory and an emoticon. In addition, patch 20.40 sees the return of old skins from Chapter 2, while some new ones have also been added.

Star Wars Day has already passed and Fortnite was filled with the franchise to mark the occasion. With patch 20.40, the content has been removed from the Battle Royale again. As a result, the gigantic Star Destroyer can no longer be seen in the sky and the lightsabers are also returning to the Vault.
