In *Blight: Survival*, you fight as part of a special unit against a plague ravaging 14th-century Europe and turning people into monsters. Currently, the PvE-focused extraction game with optional solo mode is on 1.5 million wishlists. Now, the developers are once again showing short scenes from the atmospheric medieval world and revealing new details in an interview.
Developer Haenir and publisher Behaviour Interactive are currently rebuilding many systems to ensure quality and scalability. The combat system emphasizes precision and depth, comparable to a mix of Dark Souls and Mount & Blade. Your equipment wears out and can even break, requiring tactical decisions and retreats for repairs.

The developers emphasize that Blight: Survival currently still contains many placeholders and technical issues. New playtests are planned for 2026. A release before 2027 seems unlikely. The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S without microtransactions or battle passes.
