The developers ofGears of War: E-Dayreveal all the details about multiplayer in a new video.

This includes the extensive co-op mode Horde Siege, in which teams fight together against the Locust and complete missions, as well as a classic 4v4 Versus mode. You can find all the details on maps, weapons, classes, and game mechanics atin the official blog post.

Monetization is also an issue here: The developers promise a fair system without FOMO pressure or “pay-to-win” mechanics. While there is additional paid content of a cosmetic nature (Premium Edition, charity items, and partner collaborations), the vast majority of skins are supposed to be unlockable through gameplay at no extra cost.

The developers make it clear: “Do you remember the good old days when you could just unlock stuff through gameplay because you’d already bought and paid for the game? So do we. That’s why our approach is old-school.”

Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6 for current-generation Xbox consoles and PC.
