A Zombie Royale mode shall appear in Call of Duty: Warzone. Due to several leaks, sound noises have been released, which point to the well-known style of developer Treyarch for Black Ops Cold War.
The popular zombie mode is supposed to return in Call of Duty. Due to a leak on Reddit, sound tracks have been released that indicate the entry of the undead into the Battle Royale Warzone.
In the first audio track you can clearly hear the words “Zombie Royale”. Especially because in the following soundtracks it is mentioned that zombies are “stronger in gas”, this is another indication for a Warzone debut of this kind.
Based on the contents of the sound tracks, it is suspected that a fallen player may continue to act as a zombie in the match and try to kill the opponent. It should also be possible to bring a teammate from the zombie back into human form. The last team that has a living player with them wins the round.
Information about an official start of the possible zombie mode is currently unknown. Whether a release will happen in the ending Modern Warfare era is also unclear. More conceivable is a simultaneous release with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Because in this title, developer Treyarch holds the reins and is known for zombie modes in earlier titles. The successor of Modern Warfare will start on November 13, 2020.
