The second season has received its next major update with Nightfall. We’ll tell you what’s inside.

The second season of Battlefield 6 is entering the next round. With the new Nightfall update, you can expect a range of new content from March 17, 2026. In addition to a fresh map, weapons and vehicles, you’ll also have to deal with a new modifier.

New content in Battlefield 6: Nightfall

New map Hagental Base: The new map is geared towards tactical infiltration and strategic defense, so the focus is on close infantry battles rather than vehicle combat. They have no place in the dark underground corridors anyway. Instead, you’ll be on the lookout for unstable ceiling sections and walls that you can bring down.

Darkness modifier: In keeping with the Nightfall theme, the map introduces a new darkness feature. The modifier turns off almost all light sources on the map. To counteract this, the new night vision device, flashlights, lasers and thermal sights are used.

New weapons:

  • CZ3A1 SMG– submachine gun with a high rate of fire, which will make your life in the tunnels easier (or more difficult)
  • vz. 61– Fully automatic sidearm as a backup for close combat

New vehicles: The new M1030-M1 and TM/O 450 dirt bikes are built for speed and flexibility

More updates:With theaccompanying update 1.2.2.0some adjustments are being made at the same time. Light vehicles have been given a deturtling function. If you tip your vehicle over, you can turn it back to the right side using a steering movement.

The audio controls have also been tweaked. You should now be able to locate footstep noises more clearly, which is a particular advantage in the dark corridors of Hagental.

In addition, the meta progression has been thinned out a little. You will now level up faster at lower ranks and you should have to grind around 15 percent less overall.

If you want to play the new update with friends who don’t yet own Battlefield 6, there’s no excuse for the next few days. The shooter can be played for free from March 17 to 24, 2026.
