Tribute Games and Dotemu are sending players to Doom’s fortress. In addition to new challenges, Susan Storm and Victor von Doom are joining the roster of heroes.
Tribute Games and Dotemu have provided more details on the new game mode in the upcoming DLC, *The Siege of Castle Doom*, for *Marvel Cosmic Invasion*.
Fittingly, the new game mode is called “Castle Doom.” In it, you must breach the defenses of Victor von Doom’s sinister fortress before he can activate the Cosmic Inducer. This faulty weapon was designed to stop Annihilus, but is actually destined to destroy the entire universe.
Stabilizer, Buffs, and Modifiers: How the Fortress Assault Works
Every battle you survive recharges the Stabilizer, which you can use to thwart the plan. You collect battery cells and complete challenges to unlock defensive, damage, or tactical upgrades from a selection of twelve different perks.
However, missteps and failed tasks weaken your battles, and numerous traps await you. Meanwhile, successful runs unlock new gear and modifiers that increase the difficulty and potential rewards in future attempts.
An Alliance of Bosses and Doom Bots: The Merciless Victory Gauge Puts You Under Pressure
“Choose your path through the fortress’s winding corridors and use your buffs wisely to tailor your combat abilities and become an unstoppable fighting machine,” the game states. “You’ll need all your strength to survive, because the deadly Doom Bots have teamed up with bosses from the main game who still have a score to settle with you.”
You must find Victor von Doom before the Siege Gauge reaches its limit. The higher it rises, the more powerful the fortress’s forces become. If the gauge fills before the final showdown, the run ends immediately. Susan Storm and Doctor Doom Playable: Releasing November 10 for PC and Consoles The DLC also marks the debut of Susan Storm from the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom as playable characters. Defeating Doctor Doom unlocks new color schemes for all playable superheroes. The DLC launches on November 10, 2026, for Steam, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
