The worldwide release of Code Vein 2 is just around the corner. Bandai Namco has set the global launch date, and the game will be available simultaneously, but at different times depending on the time zone. Players can access the title on Steam as well as through the publisher’s official store.

The sequel to Code Vein will be released at a uniform launch time. The decisive factor is not the respective country, but the local time zone.

Global launch date set

Code Vein 2 will be released worldwide on January 29. The release will take place at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. From that point on, the download will be available on all supported platforms, unless early access has been used.

The release is cross-platform. There are no differences between Steam and the official Bandai Namco store.

Release times by region

Due to the global launch time, local times will vary depending on the region. The following release times apply to selected regions:

  • Los Angeles: January 29, 3:00 p.m. PST
  • New York: January 29, 6:00 p.m. EST
  • London: January 29, 11:00 p.m. GMT
  • Berlin: January 30, 12:00 a.m. CET
  • Tokyo: January 30, 8:00 a.m. JST
  • Sydney: January 30, 8:00 a.m. AEDT

This means that the release in Europe will take place in the early hours of the morning, while players in Asia and Australia will have access in the morning.

Early access via Deluxe Edition

Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition were able to access Code Vein 2 earlier. This version unlocks the title several days before the regular release. The global launch date only applies to the Standard Edition.

Other differences between the editions only concern additional content. The actual game start is technically identical.

No classic preloading planned

Classic preloading is not planned for Code Vein 2. The download will only start when the game is officially released.
Once again, the Deluxe Edition is an exception, as early access effectively serves as a substitute for preloading.
Players with the Standard Edition will therefore have to wait until after the release date to start the full download.
