Excitement is building among Star Wars fans as a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws not only announces exciting new gameplay footage, but also finally reveals the long-awaited release date. However, Ubisoft Japan inadvertently revealed the date before the official trailer was released

An early release

It has been known for some time that Ubisoft plans to release both Assassin’s Creed Red and Star Wars Outlaws by March 31, 2025. While the release of the new Assassin’s Creed game is expected in the fall, rumors suggested that the space adventure could come out sooner – and those rumors have partially come true. The game will be released on August 30, 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Advanced access with special editions

Fans don’t have to wait until the official release date, however, as Ubisoft will also be offering a Gold and Ultimate Edition as usual. Owners of these editions will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Star Wars Outlaws three days earlier, on August 27, 2024. Details on the content of these editions are not yet known, but are expected to be revealed in the full trailer, which should focus on the story. Ubisoft has previously made it clear that the game will not be overly extensive
