The mechanic in Chapter 3 Season 2 was only supposed to be playable for a short time. Now Epic Games decided to make it permanent.

For ten days, the no-build mode experiment ran in Fortnite, bringing new momentum to the Battle Royale. The changes were very well received by some streamers and the Fortnite community also seems to be enthusiastic about them. Epic Games has now decided to keep the mode permanently in the game.

Actually, Fortnite was almost unimaginable without building. After all, this is the trademark of the Battle Royale game. However, quite a few streamers and players were convinced of the no-build mode in the short time. As a result, even Fortnite opponents like Dr Disrespect could be convinced of the game. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is also taken with the mode and as a result, both new and old players have returned to the battle royale.

Therefore, many in the Fortnite community hoped that the no-build mode would be permanently integrated into the game. Epic Games seems to have listened to this wish and decided without further ado to release the Fortnite “Zero Build”. Announced on Twitter on Tuesday, the new mode will be available alongside normal matches where builds can be made again.

So players:inside can choose between the classic Battle Royale with the build mechanic and the no-build. In Zero Build, it is not possible to build walls for protection, which is why those involved have to concentrate on their own skills with weapons. However, the new mode seems to offer the possibility to use a jetpack and fly around. After all, the item also appears in the short announcement video at the end.
