Since the introduction of the new anti-cheat software Ricochet, cheaters have a hard time in Warzone. As several videos now prove, the programme also likes to play a trick on convicted cheaters.

Since the developers of Call of Duty Warzone introduced the new anti-cheat software Ricochet, videos of frustrated cheaters have been piling up on social media. In addition to account bans, the Ricochet software also resorts to unconventional punishments for dishonest players.

A Case for the X-Files

For a few days now, more and more videos of Warzone players magically becoming invisible have been appearing on social media. At first, it was thought that these were new cheats, but now it is clear that exactly the opposite is the case. The anti-cheat software Ricochet apparently has a sense of humour and makes players who are attacked by convicted cheaters invisible without further ado. Exactly how and when the system will become active is not known.

Joy of loss is the greatest joy

Normally, one should not laugh at the bad luck and misfortunes of others, but when cheaters in multiplayer games are trolled or banned by the anti-cheat software, one is allowed to pat oneself on the back. Back in January, the developers of the Ricochet software showed a sense of humour. After a Warzone update, players complained that they were suddenly no longer doing damage in the game (so-called “damage shielding”). What they didn’t know was that this only affected convicted cheaters and that they had publicly outed themselves as such with their complaint.

Please more of the same

We can’t wait to see what the developers come up with next to spoil the fun for those pesky cheaters. YouTuber and Call of Duty content creator eColiEspresso also celebrates Ricochet’s anti-cheat measures in his latest video and looks forward to more of the same.
