The new League of Legends update sees a number of system nerfs. Of the champions, Rengar gets the biggest change, while Hecarim is on the nerf list

The new patch 12.6 in League of Legends will be released on March 30. Already a week before, Riot Games designer Phlox gave first information for the update via Twitter.

Conspicuous in the preliminary patch notes, which could still change over the coming days, are the entries under the system nerfs. However, there is a reason for this. Because LoL developer Riot Games is pursuing a slow but sure strategy of moving healing items out of the centre of the action. Especially the Lifesteal abilities are affected, which allow players to heal lives at the same time as they deal damage.

The runes Fleet Footwork and Legend: Bloodline are generated by losing healing and lifesteal strength respectively. The same applies to Vampiric Scepter, Blade of Ruined King, Immortal Shieldbow and Bloodward (Ornn) in terms of lifesteal.

Meanwhile, the rune Ravenous Hunter is replaced by Treasure Hunter. This will allow more gold for each first opponent killed. In contrast to these changes, the champion adjustments look moderate, with one exception. Azir, Darius, Jax and Nidalee receive buffs, but Hecarim suffers a setback in the base damage of his Q and E ability. Tryndamere has to take an increased cooldown on the Ultimate.

Rengar in new glory

Champion Rengar gets a new boost in the Summoner’s Rift with a mini rework. The jungler’s passive ability gains ferocity, while his Q ability will always deal critical damage and is even increased from the new patch. Riot Games thus wants to expand its previously random damage into reliable maximum damage, which will give the proud hunter more stability.
