All Starfield or what? No way: These new trailers should definitely not be overlooked as cosmic background noise.

A frighteningly realistic shooter, a wistful vampire showdown and the return of a screen legend: We bring you what we think are the best trailers of the past week.

This time entirely without Starfield, which is otherwise flooding all channels right now. So we don’t waste any precious time, but show you directly the three best trailers of the week!

Place 3: Lost Fragment

The Unreal Engine 5 is showing more and more what it can do Various developers are trying to cause a stir with a new trend in the shooter genre. It’s about shooters that are reminiscent of bodycam videos of real conflict situations. What emerges are gameplay perspectives that seem frighteningly real.

A shooter that uses this technique is called Lost Fragment and falls into the category of survival horror. Even though not much of the game can be seen in the trailer yet, the footage can definitely convince you not to lose sight of the boom.

Place 2: Vampire Bloodlines 2

It hurts that Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 isn’t scheduled for release until autumn 2024, though that’s not too surprising after all the setbacks. Nevertheless, publisher Paradox wants to keep the ball rolling and has released a new gameplay trailer. And it has a lot going for it.

We see action-heavy gameplay from the vampire role-playing game, the use of superhuman abilities, a city in the stranglehold of the bloodsuckers – all accompanied by a great soundtrack. Still over a year to go until release…. phew. Luckily, there’s just enough to do in the way of role-playing games, from Bethesda’s gigantic Starfield to Larian’s masterful Baldur’s Gate 3.

Place 1: Dogman

The best trailer of the last week is not from a game at all! It’s about the new film by legendary director Luc Besson (Léon – The Professional, The Fifth Element). Dogman tells the story of a man who had to suffer all his life for his love of dogs and finally resorts to drastic means.

The trailer has a dark theme and interesting characters, is superbly staged and has atmospheric music. Definitely worth a look if you appreciate unusual stories. Dogman is due to hit cinemas in early October 2023.
