Strategists and Warhammer fans take note: The new Total War will be released in February 2022 and even lands directly in Microsoft’s Game Pass.

Strategy fans are finally getting their money’s worth again. After many years of waiting, Age of Empires 4 was released and was (almost) completely convincing in the test, and the next heavyweight for the often dead genre is already on the horizon:

Total War: Warhammer 3 finally has a firm release date! On 17 February 2022, the next part of the popular series will be released, ushering in a new era of brutal warfare. But the good news doesn’t end there – at least for some of you.

Release directly in Game Pass

Those with a PC subscription to Microsoft Game Pass will be able to access Total War: Warhammer 3 directly on release on 17 February 2022. With this, the Redmond-based company has pulled off another trick, which should ensure that many an interested person pulls out their credit card until the launch.

But even after the release, that will not be the end of the story. As Microsoft announces in the good news, one can also look forward to further content in the form of add-ons and free updates. In addition, there will be a few extra surprises that will be revealed in the coming weeks until the launch.

Limited and Day One Edition presented, pre-order bonuses

Those who pre-order Total War: Warhammer 3 or buy it in the first week after launch will receive the Ogre Kingdoms race pack as a bonus on top. There is a new trailer to go with it, which we have embedded in the article above.

In addition, the contents of the Day One and Limited Editions have also been presented.

Day One Edition

The Day One Edition features a chic exterior as well as a double-sided poster with the campaign map on one side and the illustration depicted on the game cover on the other. There are also stickers with chaos symbols on top.

Limited Edition

Those who dig a little deeper into their pockets will receive the Limited Edition, which, as the name discreetly suggests, is only available in limited quantities. Here you get an even nicer cover, namely in an embossed metal box. In addition, the rest of the contents of the Day One edition are also included, of course, as well as the Ogre Kingdoms race pack.

The concentrated load of Warhammer

Total War: Warhammer 3 probably needs no introduction to the strategists from the GameStar community. But with such a huge strategy spectacle, it’s easy to miss one or two important pieces of information. That’s why we have a few reading tips for you – and there’s something for your ears, too!

If you want to know the extent of the story to bring the trilogy about the forces of chaos and the guardians of the mortal world to a fitting conclusion

Well, that’ll have to do, after all, you still need your energy for the comments section. There we would like to know if you are interested in Total War: Warhammer 3 and what you think about the launch in the Game Pass. Do you already have a subscription or would you even consider taking out a subscription just for the game?
