In Outerra World Sandbox you should be able to enjoy unlimited freedom and customise the entire earth to your liking.

The entire earth as a canvas for your creative outpourings. This is what the development studio Outerra wants to offer you with their current project Outerra World Sandbox. What we know about the ambitious game so far, we summarise for you.

You can watch the trailer for Outerra World Sandbox right here:

What we know so far

The game world: In Outerra World Sandbox, the whole earth is supposed to be at your disposal. The official website of the publisher Microprose states that the game world will reproduce the terrain, roads, buildings, forests and rivers of the earth with the help of several data sources.

In later paragraphs there is also talk of entire cities, but the screenshots so far only show landscape shots. If there’s a place on Earth that’s on your bucket list, you can go there, according to the official description.

A huge sandbox: You should not only be able to visit every spot on earth, but also change your favourite places at will. You will not only be able to change the terrain, but also to create your own structures own. It should even be possible for you to redesign entire cities.

Always on the move: How you explore the world is up to you. You can download trains, cars, boats or even aeroplanes via asset and implement them in your game – if you can’t even build them yourself or at least convert them. The trailer certainly hints at this.

Community: You can also share your creations with other users via the Steam Workshop.

Release date does not have Outerra World Sandbox yet. However, you can already add it to your wishlist on (Steam
