The Day Before is supposed to be released on November 10, but the developers are still keeping a low profile. There’s no info, on Steam the survival game is still missing.

Just two more weeks, then the once hotly anticipated survival MMO The Day Before will already be released on November 10 … so probably. With a little luck. Maybe not.

After two postponements and quite a few controversies, we know almost nothing about the actual game. The scam accusations against development studio Fntastic have been loud for quite some time, but now even the most hopeful people from the community are doubting.

What is the current status?

Whoever wants to read up on the entire controversy surrounding The Day Before can do so in our separate article on it. The short version: After questionable gameplay trailers, there have already been two postponements, and the game has disappeared from Steam – it was once the number 1 most wanted game there. Reason for the now missing Steam page is according to the studio that there legal disputes with the name The Day Before – that is not only the name of the survival game, a calendar app is also called so.

There were already rumors that The Day Before will be renamed to Dayworld, but there’s no confirmation from the official side yet – because no one speaks up at all, no matter what it’s about.

In June it was said on (the official Discord channel) that a beta would run before release – infos should follow, but they didn’t.

The last sign of life was (on August 2nd on X), formerly called Twitter. Then Fntastic posted a picture with a car as motif and confirmed again the release on November 10.

Miserable mood in the community

As early as August, there was a hail of negative comments under the Twitter post. The user (Manu) wrote: The game will be released in November and you show us random photos of cars [skull emoji].

(Saro4) was similarly incensed: What’s next from now until November 10? Still no gameplay? Still no info? Are you serious, guys?

Whereby it has to be added that there was already gameplay to see in February. But that confuses more than it answers questions:

Meanwhile, the mood is extremely crumbling even among the hardest core of the community. On the in-house Discord server, messages from users who don’t believe that the release will be deliverable accumulate daily and criticize the lack of communication from the developers.

For example, Rayleigh’s patience is currently wearing thin, although he apparently did not give up hope for a long time. In conversation with the Discord moderator of The Day Before he writes:

It’s been said many times now that information is shared the days / weeks and nothing comes, […] it can’t be that even before release they make such a secret of the game, […] even though so many people are waiting and asking if something will finally be shared. We’re all interested in the game, that’s why we’re here, […] and I think we deserve at least […] an answer

But for now, everyone will have to continue being patient – but maybe not for long. According to Discord moderator MrJintau, info will follow soon – even if the statement is nothing new anymore. In two weeks at the latest we’ll know more, for better or worse.

What is your opinion about The Day Before? Will there be another postponement, will the game ever be released or is the community too tough and you still have hope that a playable version of the survival MMO will be ready on November 10? Feel free to write it in the comments, we’re excited!
