Stray to be released for the Switch this year

During yesterday”s Nintendo Direct ShowcaseAnnapurna Interactiveand BlueTwelve Studio have announced “Stray” for the Nintendo Switch. The game, which is already available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, will now also expand the Switch library in the upcoming holiday season.

“Stray” puts players in the role of a stray cat who must solve an ancient mystery to escape from a long-forgotten cyber city. This city is characterized by detailed, neon-lit alleyways and gloomy environments that reflect the dark underground life. On their journey, the cat encounters a small flying drone, known as B-12, which becomes their new companion. Together they must find a way out of the city, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way.

The game has won various awards, including “Best Independent Game” and “Best Debut Indie Game” at the Game Awards. The game also won “PlayStation Game of the Year” at the Golden Joystick Awards, “Best Debut” at the Game Developers Choice Awards and “Most Innovative Gameplay” at the Steam Awards.

In addition, “Stray” received more than 20 nominations. These include “EE Game of the Year”, “Best Game” and “Debut Game” at the BAFTA Awards as well as “Game of the Year” at the D.I.C.E. Awards.

The adventure game is set to be released for the Switch during theholiday season in late fall or winter
