Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor initially received a lot of criticism due to technical difficulties, Respawn Entertainment can now look forward to a special award

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor certainly didn’t get off to an unproblematic start last year. In the meantime, however, the action adventure has recovered from its technical shortcomings and shines in our test with a strong score of 89 points. Now the game from Respawn has even won one of the biggest prizes in the music industry

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor wins Grammy

On February 5, 2024, the annual Grammys took place in Los Angeles. The award is one of the most important American prizes in the music industry.

In addition to various categories, a Grammy is awarded for the category Best Music in a Video Game which this year goes to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

In addition to the Star Wars title from Respawn Entertainment, there were four other nominations:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  • God of War Ragnarök
  • Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
  • Hogwarts Legacy

The Grammy for the category “Best Music in a Video Game” was only added in February 2023. The very first award in the category went to the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC: The Signs of Ragnarok

Maybe the development studio will soon be able to make up for the botched PC release of its predecessor with its next title, as a third installment in the Jedi series featuring Cal Cestis is already in the works: Star Wars Jedi 3. A release date has not yet been announced, but you can read all the information known so far here.

Which game do you think deserves the award for best music? And have you played Star Wars Jedi: Survivor yet? If so, how did the initial performance issues affect your gameplay? Have you given the title another chance after the patches? What do you think is the best game in the Star Wars universe? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
