Endnight Games has once again postponed the release of Sons of the Forest. Instead of a release in October this year, a release next year is now planned.

Fans worldwide have been waiting for an exact release date for Sons of the Forest since spring of this year. Actually, the horror-survival game should have been released in October. But last night, developer Endnight Games announced via Twitter that the sequel to the indie hit The Forest will not be released until 23 February 2023  The purchase price will be 29.99 US dollars. This would make the title almost twice as expensive as its predecessor.

Originally, Endnight Games had aimed for a release in 2021. However, they had already quickly deviated from this plan and instead opted for a release in May 2022. In March of this year, they had to cancel this date as well and announced the previously valid release in October instead.

This new postponement of Sons of the Forest is beginning to raise questions. Are the developers really that bad at time management? What are the behind-the-scenes issues that keep causing the title to be postponed?
A look at the comments column of the alleged final release postponement shows that some community members have similar thoughts.
