In three days, a fast-paced adventure to the origins of Sonic the Hedgehog will begin. To give you some final impressions of the gameplay, SEGA introduces you to the numerous modes of Sonic Origins.

If we’re going to celebrate the thirty-year history of Sonic the Hedgehog, we’re not going to do it with a simple remaster. Sonic Origins offers you six modes for even more fun. It starts with the Classic Mode, which lets you experience the original games Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles in 4:3 format with improved graphics. In addition, you can expect the familiar Game Over Principle here.
In contrast, the Anniversary Mode offers some additional features, such as the unlimited number of lives and the 16:9 screen. This is the first time Sonic 3 & Knuckles is shown in this format.

Because you want to experience all four games in one cohesive story, select Story Mode. Between the games, you can expect freshly animated cutscenes that link the plots of the games together. The original intro and outro will also be included in this edition.

The Boss Rush mode, in which you challenge numerous bosses from the games, and the Mission mode provide a special challenge. In this mode, you have to complete various missions within the four games. The better you do, the higher your rank will be.

Last but not least, Sonic Origins offers you the unlockable Mirror Mode, in which you can complete all the games backwards.

Sonic Origins will be released on 23 June for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders can still be placed on the (official website).
