The developer behind the fan project *Diablo 2 Reimagined* is working on his own action role-playing game in Unreal Engine 5. At the same time, a user namedI Make Gamesshowcases the iconic village of Tristram from Diablo 1 in all its 3D glory in a new video.
His main project is set to be gradually expanded into a full-fledged game with professional assistance. The as-yet-untitled title brings the familiar Diablo gameplay experience—complete with loot hunting, talent trees, and random dungeons—to a third-person perspective.
The focus of the combat is on the warrior, whose attacks flow seamlessly into one another. Instead of a hardcore Souls-like game, the solo developer is aiming for accessible gameplay mechanics that work both solo and in co-op mode with up to four players. The enemy hordes are massive: Seven armies, based on the seven deadly sins, each comprise about 30 unit types and five boss enemies. In the current phase, the developer is using artificial intelligence and pre-made building blocks as placeholders for graphics. .
