No more hope for The Last Hope: Nintendo has now unceremoniously kicked the work of art out of the eShop.

There are games that are so incredibly bad that objective descriptions are difficult. The Last Hope may join that inglorious ranks, as this is a truly miserable clone of PlayStation’s hit The Last of Us, which hit the eShop for Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago.

Don’t worry, the danger to your gaming taste is averted: As reported by (Kotaku) among others, Nintendo has now taken action in person and escorted the shovelware to the exit. The reason for this should be serious copyright concerns on the part of Sony, but this is not yet confirmed.

Enough is enough

The Last Hope is so crappy that even the tech experts at Digital Foundry chose extremely strong words for their video analysis: The worst game we’ve ever tested.

Just one look at this makeweight reveals where the developers at VG Games got their inspiration from. According to experts, the 3D model for the young lady who plays a central role in the game was even completely stolen from The Last of Us and more or less modified in some places.

Can we spare a more detailed game description at this point? We’ve been through it before and would hate to reopen freshly healed wounds. If you are hard-boiled, you can read everything about The Last Hope in this article.

The trailers are also under attack: YouTube is also gradually banning all official promo videos, probably due to the aforementioned copyright infringement. At the moment, however, Sony has not officially commented on the situation.

We’re almost afraid to ask: Did any of you actually own The Last Hope? If so, how bad was it? Did you guys want to be hugged? Or did you even end up having a deliciously good time, quasi-digital disaster tourism? Feel free to write us your opinions and possibly your experiences in the comments!
