With the State of Play, Sony shows new insights on upcoming games. According to insider Tom Henderson, the next online event could be coming soon

Fans of the PS4 and PS5 are particularly excited about new announcements from Sony for the year 2022. With the “State of Play”, restless minds are fed the latest video game information via livestream announcement. Among the expected titles is the open world game Hogwarts Legacy, which is of particular interest to the many fans of the Harry Potter series. So far, the latest State of Play dates from 27 October. Accordingly, the rumour mill about a new online presentation is fuelled daily.

Insider and trusted leaker Tom Henderson has spoken via Twitter about rumours dealing with the next possible Sony event in February. “It’s possibly a state of play, but it has the potential to be a really big one,” Henderson expressed his opinion on Sunday.

Henderson also let slip in a Youtube video on Monday that Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled for release later this year – in Q3 2022. The action RPG’s developers and publishers are ready to reveal new details about the game in the coming weeks, Henderson further stressed. Other possible titles in the state of play could include God of War Ragnarok.

A State of Play has also been held in February in previous years. However, there is still no official information from Sony for the possible online event. Accordingly, Tom Henderson’s statements so far should be taken with a grain of salt.
