TerraTech Worlds aims to be the ultimate construction kit for experimenters. You can now try out the co-op game for yourself

Do you like big open worlds? Does the word crafting make your fingers itch? Do you think terraforming on alien planets is not only incredibly cool, but also totally exciting?

If you answered just one – or even all three – of these questions with Yes TerraTech Worlds could be a game for you. There is now a free Steam demo of the PvE co-op game, thanks to which you can easily get an idea for yourself, just follow this link:

(To the TerraTech Worlds store page on Steam )

A 300 km² playground

TerraTech Worlds is powered by Unreal Engine 5, a powerful engine that is used less for photorealistic environments and characters and more for colorful, gaudy sci-fi scenes with numerous details

The planet covers an area of 300 km²The surface is supposed to be completely destructible and the water has a complex physics simulation. On top of that, there is a day-night cycle and dynamic weather

Coop-Survival on an alien planet

When you watch the trailer above, you’ll get a pretty good idea of the gameplay. Together with your fellow players, you race around in self-built vehicles   collecting resources and using them to build your ever-growing base.

Bandits are also up to mischief on the planet, so there is also fighting. However, your main task remains to explore the planet as a prospector and, above all, to build whatever you can.

Designing your own buildings and vehicles should be quick and easy thanks to the modular construction system&nbsp. As the game progresses, your selection of components will increase, enabling new constructions

As I said, you can try it out for yourself at the moment to see if it’s fun and something for you. The demo was released as part of the Steam Next Fest

that is currently taking place.

The early access to TerraTech Worlds is scheduled to start in 2024.

The predecessor TerraTech is based on a similar gameplay concept, but of course cannot compete with its UE5 successor in terms of visuals. Nevertheless, the developers seem to know what they are doing: TerraTech has an impressive 17,000 reviews on Steam with a very positive overall picture. A good omen for TerraTech Worlds?
