A lot of new PC games are coming out again this week. Especially friends of huge strategy battles and role-playing adventures have reason to rejoice.

The week after gamescom 2021 is missing big AAA blockbusters. For strategy and role-playing game fans, however, there is new game fodder in the form of two real highlights. As usual, you can find out which ones they are, what they are about and which other games are launching this week in our overview!

Highlight of the week: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

With Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, you can expect a huge role-playing game that, like its predecessor Pathfinder: Kingmaker, wants to tie you in front of the screen for dozens of hours of play. This time, however, it is not about founding your own kingdom and protecting it against rival realms. Instead, you have to confront a demonic threat.

Of course, you can’t defeat the nasty monsters on your own, which is why you gather an army around you. You lead them into battles, which you can fight in two different ways: Either in real time with the option to pause at any time, or in a turn-based mode. In the course of the action, you should also be able to make a lot of decisions, which will benefit the free character system.

For those who haven’t played the predecessor Pathfinder: Kingmaker yet and want to catch up, the game is currently available at Steam for only 10 Euros.

A Total War Saga: Troy – Mythos DLC

The strategy title from Creative Assembly is not exactly a new release – after all, the title was already released in August 2020. However, since the Epic Store had secured an exclusivity for the first 12 months, Steam players will have to wait until 2 September 2021. In return, you can also purchase the brand-new Mythos DLC directly at launch, which could finally unleash the game’s full potential.

If you’ve ever played a Total War title before, you know pretty well what to expect in A Total War Saga: Troy: spectacular mass battles and the management of your ever-growing empire. Of course, this also includes the art of diplomacy. Thanks to the upcoming Mythos DLC, monstrous creatures from ancient times will find their way onto the battlefield.
