Highlight of the Week: Windrose
(Genre: Survival –Developer: Windrose Crew –Release: April 14, 2026 (Steam/Early Access)
With Windrosesets sail this week with an extremely ambitious survival adventure that combines the classic resource-gathering loop with brutal Soulslike combat and a cool pirate setting.
You find yourself stranded in a procedurally generated world, where you must farm materials, craft tools, and gradually build your own settlements. The combat system demands a fair amount of skill, as blindly swinging your weapon will quickly lead to a game over.
Beyond that, you take command of your own ship, engage in naval battles with enemy pirate factions, and defend your loot during boarding maneuvers. If you don’t want to sail the seven seas alone, you can also team up with friends in online co-op.
Even in Early Access, Windrose has plenty to keep you busy: Three large biomes, around 30 islands, and more than 90 hand-crafted dungeons promise plenty of discoveries, puzzles, and loot. The planned main story is expected to take around 50 to 70 hours to complete.
On Steam, you can still try out the demo until the release on Tuesday and even secure a pair of binoculars for the full version. Our Fabiano has already done so—and is cautiously optimistic.

- We Gotta Go: You’re trapped in a haunted mansion and must desperately make your way to the only working bathroom. On your way to the life-saving toilet, you’ll have to fend off nasty ghosts, collect items, and, above all, work together as a team so you don’t literally wet your pants.
- REPLACED: Perhaps the coolest pixel art of all time meets a dark sci-fi scenario. You take control of an artificial intelligence that was accidentally transferred into a human body and uncover the dark secrets of a megacorporation in a post-nuclear 1980s America.

- OPUS: Prism Peak: To find your way home, you must gradually uncover forgotten memories with your camera in this adventure as a stranded photographer.
