Minecraft meets realism: An 8K video shows the result of an impressive graphics mod that turns Minecraft into a whole new experience.

Graphic mods for Minecraft are probably as many as there are bricks in the world. Whether it’s a Lego brick look, HD lighting effects or just a touch of photorealism. Of course, this leads to a curious result, because realistically rendered grass blocks are still blocks in the end.

The well-known modder Digital Dreams now shows how impressive this can look in spite of – or precisely because of – this in a chic 8K video.

Minecraft in 8K with realistic textures and shaders

The video shows four minutes of tracking shots through Minecraft’s open world, which now shines with realistically rendered water, fluffy clouds in the sky and vibrant fauna. But see for yourself! Remember to select the appropriate resolution when playing.

Not surprisingly, it takes the crème de la crème of hardware to achieve such results. The following components were used for the video:

  • Mainboard: Asus Prime x470-Pro
  • CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32Gb
  • GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 3090
  • SSD: Crucial mx500 2TB

Digital Dreams supporters can find the texture pack on d Patreon account essen . The shaders, on the other hand, can be found for free download on CurseForge In the past, the modder has already worked on Middle-earth: Mordor’s Shadow, Witcher 3 and Skyrim to grandiose high-end graphics in the past.

What do you think of the result? Would you like to try the graphics mod or do you think that realistic graphics and Minecraft don’t go together? Tell us in the comments
