The rumour mill on the sidelines of gamecom 2023 is boiling once again. This time there is a lot of speculation around Santa Monica s next big project, “Project Titant”, which a leaker wants to know will be a God of War Ragnarok DLC. What’s the story on that?

The popular leaker “The Snitch” claims that Sony Santa Monica is working on a DLC for God of War Ragnarok. Development is said to be at an advanced stage, but it remains unclear how extensively Kratos’ Norse adventure will continue in the DLC. The Snitch has provided accurate insider information in the past and stresses that its sources, who have previously provided accurate information on PlayStation’s next big triple-A action RPG, “Rise of the Ronin “, are the same. This information partially matches the vague hints from Sony that have recently surfaced.

Although the Norse saga appears to have concluded with God of War Ragnarok, a hint from Sony suggests that the Kratos franchise will continue. Given the success of the last few games in the series, it stands to reason that God of War will continue with a new game. Job ads from Sony Santa Monica suggest that development may have already begun. The requirements for Combat Designer and Senior Combat Designer, which require knowledge of God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok, suggest a new franchise title.

Whether it is DLC or a new part remains unclear. However, director Eric Williams’ comments suggest that a new game is in the works. We as fans can remain curious and wait for further developments.
