Are you tired of the difficulty debate? These two mods are a remedy for PC gamers.

Elden Ring is celebrating huge successes, which is why many people outside the Souls fanbase are likely to take a look at the new action adventure. New players will probably notice the hard difficulty level pretty quickly. Some Souls veterans, on the other hand, are annoyed by the whole debate and would have liked Elden Ring to be a bit harder. Luckily for both parties, there are now mods that allow you to do just that.

Elden Ring Mod: Easy Mode

If you belong to the faction that finds Elden Ring too difficult, this mod will help you. All changes in the overview:

  • Reduces the damage of the enemies by 50%
  • Boosts own damage by 25%
  • You receive 10x more runes per fallen enemy

If you want to adjust the values yourself, there is even the possibility to adjust the file itself. For this you need the tool (Yapped_Rune_Bear).

As you can see, you can really adjust everything with this tool. Be it the damage of different weapons and effects, your stamina or your life.

How to install the mod

Even mod newbies need not fear. To install the Easy-Mode, you only have to exchange a file and deactivate the Anti-Cheat Tool. You can download the mod (here).

* Create a backup of the regulation.bin file

* Deactivate Easy-Anti-Cheat with this (Tool)

* Copy the regulation.bin of the mod into your game folder – \steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game

Disable anti-cheat tool: If you disable the anti-cheat of Elden Ring, only the offline mode is available (actually logical). You will therefore have to do without multiplayer and online co-op features.

Elden Ring Mod: Prepare to Die (Hard Mode)

All die-hard FromSoftware veterans can again try their hand at this mod. But even the modder warns you of a really extreme challenge. The modder Silentverge02 has not only adjusted the values, but also the enemy AI. Sneaking around your enemies is supposed to become essential, as they should see you earlier and behave more cunningly.

However, the mod is not quite finished yet, which is why changes are still being made. The mod is available here for (Download) . An overview of all adjustments:

  • Damage and defence values have been raised to NG+ level
  • Improved enemy AI
  • Fast travel now only works in places of grace located in churches
  • FOV has been increased
  • NG+ 1-7 were adjusted according to the values

How to install the mod

Since this mod is also only about replacing the regulation.bin file, the steps are the same:

* Create a backup of the regulation.bin file

* Disables Easy-Anti-Cheat with this (Tool)

* Copy the regulation.bin of the mod into your game folder – \steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game

What do you think of these mods? Do you find the game too hard or too easy? Or do you think the developers have regulated the game perfectly? Let us know in the comments!
