Highlight of the week: Starfield

The comments section is probably already on fire, but we’ll accept that at this point. Because yes, Starfield certainly hasn’t turned out to be the role-playing game that many Bethesda fans in particular were hoping for. The disappointment can be seen very clearly in the Steam reviews, for example. But if you take a few steps back and look at this game regardless of your own expectations, then it is definitely an experience worth playing.

Not without reason was the space adventure rated 81 points by us in the test and thus definitely counts as an above-average role-playing game. The art of Starfield lies above all in breaking away from the traditional Bethesda style of play. In Starfield, you should not expect to roam the world completely free and experience new adventures all the time.

Starfield shines above all when you specifically side with a faction and really motivate yourself to quest instead of constantly wandering around aimlessly. This huge universe with over 1000 accessible planets is simply too big for that. Instead, head for the truly magnificent space cities, talk to people and help them with small problems. When Starfield is allowed to tell its story, it shines the most and can motivate you for weeks
