A Finnish online retailer provides initial indications of how much Ryzen 9 5900X and Co. could cost in euros.
After the presentation of AMD’s Ryzen 5000, two questions remain: How well do the Zen 3 chips perform in practice, and are they really superior to Intel’s Core i 10000 in all respects? And how much do Ryzen 9 5900X and co. cost in this country? While we still have to be patient with an answer to the first question, a Finnish mail-order company is already providing information on prices.
All four new Ryzen models are listed at online retailer Jimm’s. Although these could also be pure placeholders, in view of the prices at the market launch of Ryzen 3000, the information seems realistic.

Ryzen 9 5950X
The Zen 3 flagship Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores and 32 threads costs 849 Euro. The recommended retail price from AMD is 799 US dollars. In the USA, however, the prices are usually quoted without sales tax, as this varies from state to state. In Finland, on the other hand, this is 24 percent and is included in the price.
In Germany and with a current VAT rate of 16 percent, the Ryzen 9 5950X would cost around 794 euros.
Ryzen 9 5900X
The Ryzen 9 5900X is available at online retailer Jimm’s for 579 Euro. In Germany the Zwölfkerner would therefore cost 542 Euro.
How the prices in Germany will look in the end, cannot be said at this time yet. In the following table we compare the prices of Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 5000 at the market launch, or as they are now listed by Jimm’s. So you can see for yourself.

Availability critical: Street prices will also depend on how well Ryzen 5000 is available for release on November 5. The market launch of Ryzen 3000 was not entirely flawless. For a long time, Ryzen 9 3900X was virtually unavailable, and if so, then only at horrendous prices.
