ArenaNet presents the MMO’s musical vision in a video. The title theme, performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, is also now available for streaming.
ArenaNet has confirmed Kazuma Jinnouchi as the composer for the upcoming Guild Wars 3.
The BAFTA Games Award-nominated composer is known for his work on Halo, Star Wars, Metal Gear, and Ghost in the Shell. He will serve as the MMO’s lead composer.
He will be supported by guest composer Asuka Ito, whose work is known from Nintendo series such as Rhythm Paradise and Pilotwings, as well as by Maclaine Diemer, the longtime composer for Guild Wars 2.
Details on the feature video and release of the theme song
Along with the announcement, the studio released a feature video offering insights into the creative collaboration and musical philosophy behind the soundtrack.
Among others, Audio Lead Chase Thompson and Music Lead Nadia Wheaton join Kazuma Jinnouchi to discuss inspirations, conceptual guidelines, and the creation of the theme song. The video also offers glimpses of the orchestral recordings with the Prague Philharmonic, which took place earlier this year.
You can now listen to the game’s main theme—the “Guild Wars 3 Main Theme”—on most major music platforms. You can also purchase the track on iTunes and Bandcamp.
Beta Schedule, Business Model, and Gameplay Innovations
ArenaNet’s new MMO was announced at this year’s Summer Game Fest, with a beta launch planned for fall 2027. The studio has also already confirmed that Guild Wars 3 will not feature a subscription or a Battle Pass.
Most recently, the studio hinted at new story details and a revamped magic system for the upcoming installment.
