There are three discount promotions on GOG right now that invite you to hunt for bargains. We have picked out offers that are definitely worthwhile for you

Strategy, building, role-playing and more: There are a lot of games on offer on GOG right now and there is probably something for most of you. We have rummaged through the discounted games and picked out some particularly recommendable offers. If you’d rather have the latest insider tips instead of good old games, check out what’s coming out on Steam this week:

The current discounts are spread over three different promotions at GOG. If you want to browse directly yourself, then you can go directly to the individual sales here:

But now straight on to the best deals. We start with two special highlights:

Tyranny

(Genre: Role-playing game – Developer: Obsidian Entertainment – Release: 10. November 2016 – Price: (7,49 €) (75 percent discount))

You don’t want to read this description already? Then Tyranny is probably not for you. The role-playing masterpiece from Obsidian lives from its great texts. Attentive reading is indispensable here, but it is also particularly worthwhile, because an excellent story is told here from an unusual perspective. You are on the evil side.

Tyranny challenges you not only with a lot of reading material, but also with a freedom of choice that puts even Witcher 3 in the shade. Our choices have a massive impact on the game, which we sometimes find out immediately, but in other cases only hours later.

Finally, the experience is rounded off by pausable real-time battles, which pose their own challenge.

Frostpunk

(Genre: Building Strategy – Developer: 11 bit studios – Release: 24. April 2018 – Price: (12,11 €) (75 percent discount))

And another masterpiece, but from the building genre: Frostpunk lets you fight for the survival of one of the last cities of mankind in an apocalyptic future. In order to succeed in building the settlement in the middle of an inhospitable ice desert, however, you have to make difficult decisions:

Will you allow child labour to provide the much-needed boost in production? Do you increase the heat of the steam generator to protect some of the inhabitants from freezing to death? However, the steam generator could then be destroyed by overheating and ruin the whole town. You must always consider how best to keep your citizens warm and happy.

While the original game was already great, the GOTY edition further improves the game with expansions and updates.
